The core problem we aimed to solve was increasing the number of shortlisted candidates from the recruiter’s side. We broke this problem down into several key areas, including improving the onboarding flow, enhancing the job application recommendation engine, developing a profile score, and launching a home feed to improve user engagement and more.

Description
To boost the number of matches on the platform, we focused on increasing recruiter activity, as more active recruiters would lead to a higher number of shortlisted candidates. By implementing targeted email journeys, we were able to re-engage recruiters and significantly improve company Week 1 (W1) retention rates.
Key Actions:
Analyzed recruiter behavior: Identified that many recruiters were inactive or not returning to the platform after initial engagement, which directly impacted the number of shortlisted candidates.
Implemented personalized email journeys: Developed automated email campaigns tailored to different stages of the recruiter lifecycle, encouraging them to return to the platform, shortlist candidates, and engage more actively.
Email content included job suggestions, reminders of potential matches, and insights into candidate activity.
Results
66.7% increase in W1 recruiter retention:
Before: Recruiter engagement and activity were inconsistent in Week 1.
After: The tailored email journeys helped bring recruiters back to the platform, boosting W1 retention and engagement significantly.
This strategic email campaign revitalized recruiter engagement on the platform, driving up matches and enhancing overall platform activity.
